4 files available upon enrollmentTeacher will provide a detailed list of products and tools they will be using. However, teachers emphasize ingenuity and improvisation. There are many ways to achieve the same makeup look and teacher will help students to find a suitable substitution found within their own makeup kits. For students that don't have any products or tools of their own, we have starter kits available for every budget (optional). Additionally, we provide all students with a printable facechart and vision board. Students should be in an organized, quiet, well lit workspace. Most common supplies used: MAKEUP Makeup remover and cotton pads or makeup wipes Glue stick Setting powder Bodypaints (or alternative concealer/eyeshadow primer and eyeshadows) Eyeshadows Lipstick Hydraliner or eyeliner Makeup sponge(s) Assorted makeup brushes Spoolie for brows COSTUME DESIGN Gluestick or tape Recycled cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, and/or cardstock paper Scissors OPTIONAL EMBELLISHMENTS Glitter Rhinestones Fabric Prosthetics Imagination! *Please remember that the teacher will be available every step of the way to offer alternative replacements for products you may not have.
The last day of class serves as the assessment. Students will put everything they have learned together and will come in costume to the final class, then students and teachers will apply their makeup together. Teacher will continue to guide students to suitable substitutions for products they may not have.
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please exercise safety and supervision. Please be aware of possible allergic reactions. We ask that students receive permission to repurpose anything into a costume piece. Students will go over rules together. Often makeup artists will utilize their neck and chest as a canvas to paint on. Please be aware of this. Teachers and students must wear a shirt. Please also be aware, as we are new to this platform, we will be training our talented teachers! Each class will have up to two Outschool approved and MUA Co-op trained teachers to help and join in on the fun!
