In this multi-day 15 week sports based course students will apply critical thinking and social skills based on their knowledge of NBA basketball by participating in a season long fantasy basketball league with other Outschool friends.

Description
Class Experience
Learners will build social skills, problem solving skills, learn to adapt to changes, learn a new game, and most importantly have fun.
I am a basketball coach in Houston, Texas. I have been coaching for 5 years. My experience has given me quite a bit of knowledge about the game of basketball. I also am an avid participant in fantasy basketball with multiple league winning seasons.
Learners will have homework weekly. They will have to make adjustments to their team lineups, make trades, add or drop players, and be a game manager.
1. Download the "Sleeper" app from your app store, or access the website at www.sleeper.app. 2. Register on the app using your email. The app is free to use. 3. I will send a private code to the participates to join the Outschool Fantasy Basketball League.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
The learner is assessed informally. The goal is for the learners to have a safe environment to openly participate and learn the ins and outs of the game.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We will be using the sleeper app to participate throughout the season. The sleeper app is a publicly used app, but we will be in a private league for Outschool students only.
