Hey there, young adventurer! I’m Kim — and if you love magical creatures, epic quests, and drawing your own fantasy worlds, this class is for you. Each week in Fantasy Art Quest, we’ll set off on a creative journey through the world of fantasy drawing! From dragons and unicorns to wizards, castles, and enchanted forests, you’ll learn how to bring your wildest ideas to life on paper — using just pencils, imagination, and optional markers for a splash of magic. Whether you’re just starting or already love fantasy art, each class helps you build skills, boost your creativity, and grow your own legendary art style. Every session includes: • A quick warm-up doodle to spark ideas • A step-by-step lesson on a new fantasy art theme • Creative time to design your own magical drawing • Optional share and feedback time at the end You’ll learn how to: • Draw mythical creatures like dragons, phoenixes, and more • Design wizards, knights, fairies, and magical beings • Create fantasy settings like castles, forests, and skies • Add texture, shading, and perspective to your drawings • Build confidence and express your creative voice through fantasy art 🗺️ Weekly Skill Rotation: (Each class stands alone — students can join any time! This cycle repeats with new prompts and creatures.) • Week of 05/04: Drawing Dragons & Mythical Beasts Learn how to draw fierce, friendly, or funny dragons and other legendary creatures. • Week of 05/11: Fantasy Characters: Wizards, Heroes & Villains Create your own magical characters with robes, staffs, potions, or armor. • Week of 05/18: Enchanted Castles & Magical Buildings Design towers, bridges, or floating castles using simple perspective tricks. • Week of 05/25: Fantasy Forests & Hidden Landscapes Draw mysterious woods, sparkling lakes, and faraway mountains full of wonder. • Week of 06/01: Magical Companions: Unicorns, Phoenixes & More Sketch magical animals and companions your fantasy hero might meet. • Week of 06/08: Create Your Own Fantasy Scene Bring everything together into one big magical drawing starring your original characters. • Week of 06/15: Fantasy Art Mash-Up! Combine creatures, characters, and settings into a silly or epic fantasy surprise. • Week of 06/22: Final Art Showcase & Celebration Finish and share your favorite drawing, and celebrate all your creative quests!
Learning Goals

Supply List
For this class, students will need: • Sketching Pencil – A standard No. 2 pencil works great, or a set of sketch pencils if you have them • Paper or Sketchpad – Preferably around 8x10 inches • Eraser – Any clean eraser is fine • Pencil Sharpener Optional: Some students enjoy using crayons, markers, or pastels — those are absolutely welcome! Students are free to use the drawing materials they feel most comfortable with.
