Not only is reading an essential life skill, but it can be a source of entertainment. In this class, students dive into a classic novel for this age group. Through completing class activities, students will be practicing reading comprehension skills, identifying plot events, describing characters, determining problems, defining vocabulary words, and recognizing themes in books. Each lesson has a to-do list with instructions (read, answer questions, define vocabulary, watch answer videos, complete Blooket quiz). The instructor will send weekly progress reports on Fridays if work has been completed.

Chapter 11-18 -focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary, characters, plot, and important quotes. 15 mins of video lessons
Lesson 4:
Fantastic Mr. Fox Quote Activity
Practice making inferences with five important quotes from the novel Other Details
Learning Needs
*This class accommodates those with learning differences including ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc.
*Pre-reading videos, guided notes, review videos, and graphic organizers are provided.
Parental Guidance
The farmers try and shoot Mr. Fox and knock his tail off
Blooket will be used. Students do not need an account.
