US Grade 3 - 6
In this one time class we will be learning all about Spinosaurus, one of the largest predators to ever walk on Earth. We will discuss where and when it lived, what other animals it lived with, what it ate, and what kind of dinosaur it was. We will also be learning about the first discovery of Spinosaurus and how our understanding of this amazing animal has changed over time. This class is one of a series of classes on fossils and ancient animals adapted to be one time versions of my Dinosaur of the Week classes. No experience, knowledge, or previous classes are required for this course, but a love of prehistoric creatures is encouraged, and my other classes on rocks, fossils, and dinosaurs may provide further background.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about Spinosaurus, where and when it lived, when it was discovered, and how our idea of it changed over time.
