Description

Class Experience

In this math camp learners will review number concepts of base 10 and addition and subtraction. This camp can be a good review for students who have just completed first grade or for those preparing to enter first grade with addition and subtraction knowledge.  Each day we will play a different game that will reinforce skill practice, all while having fun. Students will review the concepts of base 10 and addition and subtraction.

I have extensive experience teaching kindergarten and first grade, as well as math intervention.

1 deck of playing cards
10 dice 
1 set of dominos
whiteboard and marker
manipulatives for grouping (ie. flat marbles, bingo chips, small pom-poms, beads, buttons etc.)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

This class is informal and fun aimed at reviewing skills over the summer break. Teacher assessment will be provided through email at the conclusion of the class.

2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

The learner may be asked to access a game on Nearpod. A private link will be given in the classroom.
