Class Experience

Most people are familiar with the fable "The Tortoise and the Hare." But did you know that Aesop, who lived over 2500 years ago, wrote more than 700 fables? These short stories have stood the test of time. 

In this ongoing class, we will study one fable each week. We will use these stories to explore literary elements including characters, setting, events, and the moral of the story. We will make a flip book during class. The learners will list the characters along with their character...

This class is taught in English.

Students will improve their reading comprehension and writing skills through the study of the literary elements of various fables.

I have a degree in elementary education which included classes on teaching language arts to elementary school students.

Print outs will be provided before each class (1-2 pages per week)

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Padlet

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
