In this interactive one time class, learners will hear and read different speeches from different time periods and discuss what lessons we can learn from them. Note: This is not a class on how to learn public speaking. Rather, it’s picking up and interpreting the main messages of the speeches and translating them to our lives.

June 7th, 2020 Note: In light of recent events triggered by the Minneapolis tragedy, sensitive topics might come up during discussion. I am not claiming to be an expert in politics or other social issues but in my 15 year of teaching, I have learn to handle situations in a calm (respond vs. react), respectful and “how can I be part of the solution” approach.
