Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Welcome to this two-part course on famous shipwrecks from around the world! In this class, you will learn about the history behind these ships and their unfortunate sinking that have left them stranded on the ocean's floor, some yet to be discovered. We will look at six different shipwrecks over the course of the two classes. These stories are each unique with some stories of treasure, mystery, and sea battles. Let's dive in together to discover some of history's greatest shipwrecks.

In each class, students will learn about the history of the ship and the story of what led to each ship's unfortunate sinking. Students will be able to follow along with the stories with the help of slideshow presentations and questions to engage their critical thinking skills. At the end of each class, students will get to participate in a Kahoot trivia game to test their knowledge of the new material they learned.

Class One:
Costa Concordia
Fujikawa Maru
RMS Empress of Ireland

Class Two:
