Class Experience

In this weekly ongoing class, students will learn about a new famous artist each week (Monet, Picasso, Pollock, Kandinsky, etc...) They will create works of art based on the artist of the week.
The class will begin with an introduction of the artist of the week through a vibrant presentation. The students will learn a few facts about the artist's life, explore the art techniques used by that artist, and examine some famous works of art.
Miss Erin will then lead the students in an art activity based on the artist of the week's work. Students will be encouraged to be creative and interpret the activity in any way they would like.
The materials will be posted in the classroom a week in advance or sent to the students upon enrollment (unless the student registers close to the class start time.) The materials will always be flexible, meaning you can use whatever you have on hand.
Some students may not finish the art activity during the class and may choose to continue after class.

Here is the breakdown of the weeks:

Students do not need to have any prior experience with art in order to participate in this class. It will be a fun and relaxed environment. There is no right or wrong way to complete the art activities.

This is an ongoing class. Students are free to drop in and out at any time.

I look forward to exploring art with your children!
