Before class, students are encouraged to find an antique or vintage item in their home to show the class and talk about. Parents should help children write down a few interesting tidbits about the item before class.Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 7
In this class we’re going to learn the difference between antiques, vintage, and retro. A brief few minutes of class time will be going over different definitions and traits of historic items (see examples below) of the instructor. The rest of the class will be show and tell. Students are encouraged to bring a vintage, retro, or antique from their home and talk about it with the rest of the group. What makes this item so special? Where did it come from? Does it play a part in your family’s history? Is this item inherited from a grandparent or a great grandparent? This is a great opportunity for children to learn how antique, vintage, or retro items play a part in social history. Students are encouraged to bring any type of antique or vintage item to show and talk about for any of the session.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Greetings!
My name is Ms. Brown. I teach etiquette, writing, editing, soft skills, reading, adulting, business, and leadership.
Like you, I love learning new things and value education for all ages. I believe learning happens everywhere and not just in a school room or university. If you open your eyes, ears, mind and heart, you can learn everywhere!
I have an associates degree in journalism and writing; a bachelor's degree in business management; and a masters degree in international relations and diplomacy. I also have certificates in digital media marketing as well as etiquette, manners, and international protocol.
I am the mom of a college age son who sometimes gets tired of his mom always correcting his grammar and table manners. And I have a very well behaved chocolate lab dog named Emily (after one of my favorite authors, Emily Bronte).
