In this ongoing class, students in preschool and kindergarten will discuss an assigned book about fall/autumn that they read at home and complete a fun craft together as well!
Class experience
US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this ongoing class, preschool students will meet once a week to discuss an assigned book that they have read either independently or with a grownup during the week. The teacher will facilitate a discussion by asking both comprehension and imaginative questions to help extend the students reading! When we are finished with our discussion we will begin a craft inspired by the book that we read that week. Students are welcome to drop in at any time. Each lesson is a stand alone book...
Supply lists for each week's craft will be posted in the classroom before class and will include items such as colored paper, scissors, glue, markers, paint, etc. Students will also need the books listed in the class description. You can purchase them or borrow from your local library!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Scissors and glue may be used in class. Some of these books mention Halloween and/or Thanksgiving. While celebrations may be part of our discussions, they will not be a main focus or part of the weekly crafts.
