This self-paced class combines Science and crafts to create a fun learning opportunity to explore apples, pumpkins, seasons, trees, and animals. Learners will have the opportunity to create up to 12 crafts!

Fall is a wonderful time of year! There is so many beautiful colors and wonderful learning opportunities. This flexible schedule class allows for learners to learn about the Science and the world around them as they create their own crafts! What Scientific topics will be taught? Apple Parts Pumpkin parts & life cycle Trees & Seasons Scarecrows Acorns Owls Turkeys How does this work? This class is a self-paced class, so there are no live meetings. Learners will receive 4 video lessons that focus on each lesson's topic. Learners will be presented 2-3 weekly crafts. Learners will then have the opportunity to complete the craft on their own time and share it on the the classroom page. Kahoot will be used in this class. A subscription is not required to access Kahoot games. What is required? Access to a printer Apples Pumpkins Crafting supplies (Scissors, glue, paper, paint, etc). Popsicle Sticks Brad Fasteners Paper Plates Tan Yarn Cupcake liners Coffee filters Paper bag Cotton balls

Lesson 1:
Apples
Learners will learn about the parts of an apple: core, skin, leaf, stem, flesh, and seeds.
Learners will create an apple craft and identify the parts of an apple.
Learners will complete a Kahoot game related to the parts of an apple. 8 mins of video lessons
Unit 2: Pumpkins
Lesson 2:
Pumpkin Parts
Learners will create a pumpkin craft and identify the parts of a pumpkin (seeds, pulps, shell, leaves, guts, vine, and stem). 6 mins of video lessons
Lesson 3:
Pumpkin Life Cycle
Learners will learn how pumpkins grow as they explore the pumpkin life cycle (seed, sprout, vine, flower, pumpkin). Unit 3: Scarecrows, Seasonal Trees, & Acorns
Lesson 4:
Scarecrows
Learners will learn about the importance of scarecrows as they create a scarecrow craft. 6 mins of video lessons

Parental Guidance
Parent guidance is required due to the use of scissors and Kahoot. A Kahoot account is not required for this class.
