FALL Kindergarten Class - Curriculum- Circle Time - Phonics, Sight Words, Math
In this Spring Kindergarten ongoing class, learners will meet 2 times per week. This is a full curriculum class so we will cover all subjects that are essential. We will focus on calendar time, phonics, counting, writing and FUN!

Welcome to the Kindergarten Club! My name is Teacher Kayla and I am really happy that you're here and considering joining our class. In this class we will have a classroom circle time that meets 2 times per week. We will begin each class with our class "Hello Song" followed by calendar time. Students will be given a personal calendar each week to fill in and track our days and months. Once this has been completed we will move on to our question of the day. This is a really fun part of class because all learners will get to share their answers with the class and socialize with others. It is a great way for everyone to get to know each other! Following this activity, we will move into our two lessons for the day. Every class will focus on a different lesson but some examples are: • phonics, letter blends • sight words • rhyming • counting by 1's, 5's, 10's • place value • shapes • use of Calendar, use of Clock • answering open-ended questions • science lessons I love to play games in my classes, sing songs, do crafts, science experiments, movement activities, story-telling and so much more to help keep learners engaged and show them how much fun learning can really be! Once we have completed our lessons for the day we will sing our goodbye song. Every Thursday we will have show & tell, yay! I can't wait to have your learner join our Kindergarten club! Learning Goals
Students will improve their Kindergarten skill set during our class circle time. We focus on many skills that are important in the Kindergarten classroom. We will learn phonics, sight words, letter and sound recognition, shapes, counting, beginner reading skills and so much more.
