In this 55 minuite class students will learn dot painting while creating a gift for a loved one.
Class Experience
Students will have a unique, hands on experience, as they create a Dot painted heart. I lead by example - students will follow along as I teach the dot painting process. This will be demonstrated in a step by step instructional manner. I will be showing how to use the tools to paint this way. We will be learning about paint texture, depth and contrast. Students will learn about the colour wheel and how to mix paints to make other colours.
I have taught this painting technique to people from 9 to 30 year's old for the last two years.
Homework Offered
Students must paint the surface black a day before the class. Studens can chose to seal the painting once it has completly dried.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

0 Round tools for dots (chopsticks, knitting needles or any stick with flat round ends) Protected table surface ( Paint on a flat space) Craft Acrylic paint: colors required, black & white and at least 4 of your favorite bright colors Wood heart shape, a canvas or a piece of wood that you can draw the heart shape on (painted black in advance). Flat paint brush Bowl of water and rag Paint dish or paper plate. Have all the things set up before the class starts
