Class Experience

Hello Students! I need your help! I have a very special mission for you this November! Please help keep as many Turkeys as we can safe and away from Farmer Brown's dining room table by creating a disguise for them! I need you to get creative!
First, the students will download the template of the turkey from the classroom wall. Please be sure to have your students disguise their turkey before class! In the classroom, on the discussion board you will find a handout with the activity.

Please print the Turkey, and have your child disguise their Turkey however they would like! Have them get creative! They can color, use craft supplies. They can disguise their turkey however they would like, as a dancer, football player, santa, ect. Get creative!

Once we start class, we will read the story "How to Catch a Turkey" by Adam Wallace, complete a turkey themed activity, learn a few fun facts about turkeys, and then we will share our Turkeys! Students will be able to interact with our friends, and discuss and share our Turkey disguises and why we chose them!

Welcome Prospective Parents and Guardians,
I am so happy you are here! My name is Brittney Erickson, I am a mom of six and an educator. I’ve been in the education field for over 15 years. I’ve taught from Pre-K to 4th grade. Kindergarten has a special place in my heart, I taught it for 7 years!
I love hands on learning and learning through play! I love to teach ABC's, letters, numbers, science, arts and crafts, book clubs, legos, and anything Disney themed! I love to cultivate a safe environment, where students can learn through play! I am so thankful that you are willing to invest in your child's education. I work hard to create classes where your child and I can build a relationship, and I can truly come alongside them in their educational journey.

I have high expectations of my fellow teachers and myself in the lessons we provide. I have taken the initiative to create fun, engaging, interactive lessons, and I have gone above and beyond to create lessons with correct permissions and licenses to utilize fun images, themed lessons, and excellent music.

I myself am a homeschooling mom, and love everything Outschool has to offer! We personally love to use Outschool in our home! I can't wait to learn, play and be creative together!

I look forward to seeing you soon! ❤️

Class Policies:
1. Unless the class specifically requires for more than 1 learner ( example: my halloween party or social club). I will still hold class for one student. My children get so excited for their classes, I would never want to cancel on an excited student ready to learn!

2. I will admit students to the classroom right at the scheduled time, even if not every student is present. If there is a technical issue and I cannot enter the classroom, I will contact parents through the classroom page and I will also contact Outschool.

3. I will always finish class as close to the scheduled amount of time as possible. Depending on low enrollment numbers or extended discussion for very active speakers, the class may run a few minutes short or long.

4. If no students are present in the classroom when class is meant to begin, I will wait 10 minutes before exiting. Once I exit the classroom, the class will be considered finished.
