Students in these micro-class lessons will focus on the operations of fractions using both like and unlike denominators.

Students will cover:
-Fraction Definition
-Identifying numerator/denominator
-Find a common denominator if needed
-Complete operation of fractions

Students attending class will begin with a brief introduction, listen to a 60 second mini-lesson, complete 2 guided examples as a group, solve 3 interactive practice problems independently, and end with a short wrap-up.

Students will have quick discussion opportunities with the teacher and their peers throughout the lesson. They will have interactive game slides and multiple choice questions to assess learning as they proceed.

This is a fast-paced class meant to be used as an introduction to a new topic, a review, or homework support. Preferably, students are at grade level needing extra support to understand a trickier math concept.

Hello and welcome to my profile! I love reading, adventuring, spending time with my family, and learning new things. I also of course LOVE to teach!

I have a two degrees, both in education. My first degree is a B.A. in Elementary Education and my second, is a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition, I have certificate in teaching English online to students overseas and newcomers here in the states. This is commonly called a TESOL certificate.

I have experience working with all ages from pre-k-12th grade both in-person and online. My in-person teaching experience was a lead teacher in the pubic school system in both California and Texas. I have taught grades 1st-4th as an in-person lead teacher. As for online teaching, I have taught all subjects including teaching English to English Language Learners across the country. I've also worked with students who are autistic, have ADHD, ODD, and anxiety to name a few. My first teaching experience was as an assistant for a Montessori school working with pre-k and preschool students of which I thoroughly enjoyed for just over two years.

My overall teaching career started nearly 18 years ago and I am so looking forward to adding to that experience when working with you budding scholar!
