Candy Corn- You either love them or hate them! This class combines a fall favorite with Science & STEM challenges. This flexible schedule class allows for the fun to last through the fall months. Learners will have fun exploring the world around them and learning to problem solve! How does this work? This class is a self-paced class, so there are no live meetings. Learners will receive 5 recorded lessons. The recordings will be recorded as if your learner is in a class. Learners will be presented with the weekly science experiment or challenge. Learners will then have the opportunity to complete activity on their own time and report their findings back to the class in the classroom page. Learners will share pictures of their experiment or STEM challenge, as well as the data they collected during the experiments. Kahoot will be used in this class. A subscription is not required to access Kahoot games. Dissolving Candy Corn
Learners will explore the chemical reactions of a variety of liquids on candy corns. Learners will walk through the Scientific Method to create, test, and analyze the results of their hypothesis. 6 mins of video lessons
Lesson 2:
Candy Corn Catapult
Learners will learn about force, angles, and reactions as they create catapults to fling candy corn across the room! :) 10 mins of video lessons
Lesson 3:
Candy Corn Sculptures
Learners will use higher level thinking skills to create 2D and 3D sculptures using candy corn. Learners will soon learn that this task is not as easy as it sounds! Lesson 4:
Candy Corn Bottle Flipping
Bottle flipping us fun! But what is a bottle contained candy corn instead of water? How will this change? How much candy corn is needed to have a successful bottle flip? Other Details

Parent guidance is required due to the use of Kahoot. A Kahoot account is not required for this class.
