This is a beginner level step by step instructional class on how to paint like a master Artist each week using acrylic paint.Student’s will explore briefly about the life of the artist, their work of art, and then students will be able to paint their own masterpieces inspired by the work of that artist. Student artists will create a new project every week revolving around a specific artist. Students will be allowed to use their own style and with their own personality and creativity. In this ongoing class, we will create fun acrylic paintings inspired by master artist!This class will be step-by-step as I will provide exact instruction on how to paint the painting. We will learn different painting techniques, such as "blending", "mixing colors", painting with a variety of brushes,”wet on wet technique ,detailing,Stippling and pointillism.We will also learn basic painting techniques such as how to create perspective in a painting and proportion. I will begin class by greeting everyone and welcoming everyone to class. We will do a quick "supply check" before we begin each class and go over a master artists.As we paint, students will be able to ask questions about the artist and their work of art, share progress with one another, and are encouraged to interact with the teacher and students! The supplies listed below will be what your student will need to participate and I will send information well in advance if any other supplies are needed. I love to encourage my students and my teaching style is very positive.My class room is fun and full of creativity so that students feel confident to try out new paintings!I believe there is no wrong in art and it is all about creation.I encourage practice and knowledge to build artistic skill sets.I teach on how to use the 'tools' we have available in art making. This environment will be supportive and encouraging for all students to create create masterpieces and try out new paintings. Students will learn about the life of a master artist and how to apply paints to canvas just like a famous artist!Students will learn to follow instructions in an encouraging and fun group class with an art teacher with years of both art and teaching experience. The teacher will give instructions on how to mix colors visually and assist students on color mixing.Please keep in mind some colors the teacher and student will already have on hand so mixing will not be required for every color. Students are encouraged to seek feedback throughout class. Most students will be done by the end of class but some students may need some time after class to finish up. Everyone works at a different speed! A love for Art is encouraged and no prior knowledge or experience is required! Supply List
1. Canvas or canvas board of any size. (recommended canvas sizes 11x14 or 16x20) Please keep in mind Larger canvases will take longer. 2.Acrylic Paint: Red,Yellow,Blue,Black and White 3.Painting brushes – I thick, 1 medium, I thin. 4. Pallet(a paper plate will do), paper towel and cup of water *Table top easel is fine but not necessary. Painting flat on a table may be easier for some students.

I have attended Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Arts on a full-ride scholarship and I am a Presidential Scholar and Young Arts Scholar in the Academics and Arts.I have taught art and painted for 12 years and have showcased my artwork in the Smithsonian Museum and Galleries in Miami and New York City!
