1-2 hours per week. Homework is optional. *Each time, we will review some from the last lesson. *Homework each week will be to review the new vocabulary and questions and how to answer them (I provide optional homeworks) *Students will be given matching worksheets, coloring sheets, and/ or more.Assessment
There are no quizzes or tests. We review and engage in vocabulary and mini-conversations together. Your student should expect to participate. If asked, I provide a certificate in pdf format for finishing the course.Class Experience
Building confidence is key to any foreign language, and that is what I will be doing through this class. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fairytales & Stories in Italian is a series of classes that include learning vocabulary, short conversation questions and answers, as well as a story. Classes can be taken consecutively or not. We review regularly and learned some questions/answers in Italian to do with the story. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Class 1: We will learn 16 vocabulary words to do with the Red Riding Hood story (given on a 1page print-off). Class 2: We will learn 12 vocabulary words to do with the Red Riding Hood story on a word search sheet (that will be homework) and will learn 6 vocabulary words from the Red Riding Hood story which will be on coloring sheets to color for homework Class 3: We will review and learn 20 vocabulary words to do with the Red Riding Hood story on flashcards. Class 4: We will review and learn 20 more vocabulary words to do with the Red Riding Hood story on flashcards. Class 5-6: We will read through the Red Riding Hood story in Italian (which will be given in a sentence/flashcard structure that students can print off). If time permits, we will also read through the story in a longer format via PowerPoint. Class 7: We will learn to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in Italian (Brilla Brilla La Stellina) ---------------------------------------------------- *Each time, we will review some from the last lesson. *Homework each week will be to review the new vocabulary and questions and how to answer them. *Students will be given a PDF, PowerPoint, or crafts each class for the vocabulary learned. *Schedule is subject to change. ----------------------------------------------------- I will have more Italian classes coming soon! *Also you can request a new time if you need a different time slot.
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is to help students get excited and feel confident in learning Italian through learning vocabulary, small dialogues, and stories. Plus, learning in the form of fairytales and stories-- or even songs-- can make learning a language a bit more fun.
