Fairytale Mysteries Series: Snow White on Trial Summer Camp

In this semester long class the kids will learn about how a murder trial is conducted, about different legal terms, how to question witnesses on the stand, and work to prepare to defend/prosecute Snow White in the murder of the Evil Queen.

Class Experience

Using video and open discussion the kids will learn about the criminal court process  by going through the steps in charging and trying Snow While in the murder of the evil Queen. 
This will be put on as a flipped model classroom with Activities to complete before and after class.
Class 1: The kids will watch the video and learn about the process of charging Snow White for the Evil Queen’s murder and learn about the Prosecuting and Defense Attorneys. 
Class 2: The kids will watch more of the video. The kids will learn about what is involved in a bail hearing 
Class 3: The kids will watch the video and continue to learn about important terminology that they need to know about a criminal court trial including Expert and Lay Witnesses. 
Class 4: The kids will watch the video and come up with opening and closing Statements for the Defense and Crown Attorneys.
Class 5: The kids will watch the video and think up questions to ask the witnesses as the Prosecuting Attorney to prove that Snow White is guilty. 
Class 6: The kids will watch the video and think up questions to ask the witnesses as the Defense Attorney to prove that Snow White is innocent. 
Class 7: The kids will watch the whole video and then put on the first part of the Trial of Snow White in the case of the murder of the evil Queen. 
Class 8: The kids will watch the whole video and then put on the conclusion of the Trial of Snow White in the case of the murder of the evil Queen. 

Since the kids will learn of the needed legal terminology and parts of the criminal court process, no prior knowledge is needed.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
As with all Fairytale Mysteries Series classes, there is no blood seen and all violence is cartoon rated G. The kids will learn about how the Canadian Criminal Court System works, including the roles of the Judge, Prosecuting Attorney, Defense Attorney, and the Jury. They will not be exposed to anything of a sensitive nature, however, parents are always welcome to supervise if they have any concerns.
Supply List
The students will receive all the documents that they need to fill out the day before the class begins.  Quest 4 Knowledge Inc.'s website is currently under construction and will be provided as soon as it is completed. Teacher expertise and credentials
I have a Bachelor Degree with a Major in Sociology and a Minor in English.  I also am certified in Paralegal Communications, Special Education, and ESL.  I have over 6 years experience as an Online ESL Teacher to children from age 4 to 14.
I teach the Fairytale Mysteries Series interactive murder mystery solving classes for students aged 7 to 11 years old.  I wrote and performed my first screen play in grade 2 and have been a professional online performer for almost 3 years. I'm also teaching the improv class Something Happened On The Way To The...  
I am also designing holiday puppet and costumed classes for younger children with original stories, poems, and songs.  I have been writing stories, songs, and poetry since I was about 16 years old and have had several of my poems published.
In addition to this, I am teaching the Discovering A Serial Killer Classes for students aged 13 to 18 years old.  I have obtained certifications in both profiling and forensic science.
I've studied life coaching, NLP, and teaching meditation.  I am also a Reiki Master/ Teacher. 
I'm designing coaching programs for ages 7 years old and up on anxiety and depression hacks, meditation, and Positive Energy medicine.
My philosophy is that learning should be fun and I try to make the experience as exciting as possible!
