Class Experience
Each week, we will be reading a classic princess fairy tale story together (learners can listen or follow along with their own copy of the book). We will discuss the moral of the story, then dive into working on our craft together. Note: The stories are the longer, classic versions rather than the Disney versions. I'm a homeschooling mama of a preschooler and we have the best time creating our own curriculum! I also have a degree in Psychology and worked with ages 3-18 in the public school setting for 9 years, as well as in a preschool setting for 2 years.
A document that contains the book list and materials for the weekly crafts will be available upon enrollment.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
In true Grimm's Brothers' & Hans Christian Anderson style, the original stories do have rather dark themes (death, evil, etc). Parents should be advised that I will be reading the classic tales where this isn't glossed over. We won't be spending large amounts of time on these themes, but they will be read as written.
