Class Experience
Fairy tale are magical and evoke a feeling of whimsy and creativity in their audience. In this flexible schedule class, students will have the luxury of learning and creating whenever it is convenient for them! This is a fun and engaging session where children are encouraged to express themselves through art and be inspired by classic children's literature. I am passionate about arts education and believe that art is so important in a child's life! I am enthusiastic about each lesson I teach and every lesson has been carefully planned and tested in my art classroom. I teach in a positive way and encourage each learner express themselves in their work. I love helping students discover their artistic talents!
Basic art materials such as construction paper, oil pastels, watercolor and tempra paints, scrapbook paper, scissors, glue, and crayons will be used. Specific lists will be given each day. Entire Supply List: * 6-8 sheets of white construction paper, 1 sheet light blue, white or green pieces construction paper * sheet of brown or tan construction paper, pink paper * 9x12 watercolor paper * variety of painted papers, scrapbook papers and /or colored construction paper scraps * oil pastels * water color paints, paintbrush * scissors and glue * pencil * oil pastels or crayons * chalk pastels * green, white, yellow, red, black acrylic or tempura paint * kitchen sponge cut into thirds * salt * colored pencils * black Sharpie marker
