US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Our class structure is as follows: ~ a hello song ~ read and talk about our fairy tale for the week ~ play a game associated with our fairy tale ~ retell the story using flannel board pieces ~ a movement activity at the end ~ a good-bye song (We might even sing a song or two.) NO CLASSES WEEK OF NOVEMBER 25th and NO CLASSES WEEK OF DECEMBER 23th My Summer Schedule will include the first twelve weeks of our Syllabus

Week 1Lesson 1The Ugly DucklingWe will play a matching game, matching animal babies with their parents.Week 2Lesson 2The Three BearsWe will do some sizing activities such as arranging pieces from biggest to smallest and from smallest to biggest.Week 3Lesson 3Little Red Riding HoodWe will play a "five senses" game, which sense will we most likely use with different objects.Week 4Lesson 4RumpelstiltskinWe will learn about US coins, their value and put them into their proper piggy banks. We will also count them.Week 5Lesson 5The Elves and the ShoemakerWe will be looking at different shoe characteristics and matching them to like items.Week 6Lesson 6The City Mouse and the Country MouseWe will play a matching game, matching opposite pairs such as night and day, hot and cold, up and down, and many more.Week 7Lesson 7The Three Little PigsWe will do some three-step and four-step sequencing activities. We will discuss what happens at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the story.Week 8Lesson 8The Three Billy Goats GruffWe will be discussing weight, which is heavier or lighter.Week 9Lesson 9The Gingerbread ManWe will build a gingerbread man and counting to 12.Week 10Lesson 10Jack and the BeanstalkWe will discuss measurement, how long or short something is using inchworms as a standard form of measurement.Week 11Lesson 11The Little Red HenWe will talk about patterning, creating a specific pattern and making one of their own.Week 12Lesson 12The Emperor's New ClothesWe will play a sudoku game using our critical thinking skills.Week 13Lesson 13The Princess and the PeaWe will be working with ordinal numbers and looking for the pea under matresses.Week 14Lesson 14The Fisherman and His WifeWe will be matching uppercase and lowercase letters.Week 15Lesson 15The Frog PrinceWe will be counting objects to 20,Week 16Lesson 16Hansel and GretelWe will be building a house using a pair of dice.Week 17Lesson 17Sleeping BeautyWe will try to decide which object does not belong.Week 18Lesson 18The Little MermaidWe will be looking at positional words and figure out where things are in relationship to other objects.Week 19Lesson 19Puss in BootsWe will look at rhyming words.Week 20Lesson 20Snow WhiteWe will be playing with our days of the week and talk about the order and what is before and after each day.Week 21Lesson 21ThumbelinaWe will look at magnified objects, can you tell what the picture is?Week 22Lesson 22The Brave Little TailorWe will be looking at 2D shapes.Week 23Lesson 23CinderellaWe will look at the parts of a clock and look at the hour.Week 24Lesson 24The Musicians of BremenWe will look at directions, north, south, east, and west or up, up, down, left and right.Week 25Lesson 25RapunzelWe will look at the beginning sounds of words.Week 26Lesson 26Belling the CatWe will be looking at the short vowel sounds in words.Week 27Lesson 27Beauty and the BeastWe will look at some simple addition problems using a ten frame.Week 28Lesson 28The Teeny Tiny WomanWe will look at 3D shapes, talk about their properties and more.Week 29Lesson 29Chicken LittleWe will look at ending sounds.Week 30Lesson 30Stone SoupWe will look at numbers from 1 to 100 and figure out what number comes before and after said number.Week 31Lesson 31The Queen BeeWe will be looking at subtraction using number bonds.Week 32Lesson 32The Golden GooseWe will look for the golden egg under many geese.Week 33Lesson 33Tom ThumbWe will look at taller and shorter as well as longer and shorter.Week 34Lesson 34The Twelve Dancing PrincessesWe will be looking at CVC words.Week 35Lesson 35The Pied PiperWe will listen to animal sounds. Can you identify them all?Week 36Lesson 36Alice in WonderlandWe will talk about symmetry, are they the same on both sides?

Frequency: includedDetails: We will be retelling our fairy tale during class to see how much of our story learners comprehended and can remember to retell.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
At the end of each class, we do a movement activity. Please be sure your child has a space they can move around in where they will not get hurt. We will be jumping, running in place, stretching, and more.
