In this 3-day summer camp, learners will create their very own magical fairy world. Learners will use their imaginations and creativity to create a fun fairy house as well as a fairy garden.

Fairy Gardens have become so popular! They are a great way to nurture your learner's creativity. In this 3 day summer camp learners will create their very own fairy garden magical world by using their imaginations, art supplies and garden supplies. Each day of camp will be activity focused: Day 1) Teacher will lead discussion about the origination of fairy gardens, houses, doors, etc. We will discuss containers, soil, and plants for fairy garden as well as a fairy house and optional decorative items. We will review pictures for inspiration. Lastly, we will draw out our plans for our gardens and houses. Please see learner's supply list for supplies needed. Day 2) Learners will make a fairy house(s) out of terra cotta pot(s). Learners will be given other ideas on day 1 in case terra cotta pots are not available at the time of class. Learners will use their gathered decorative items to decorate their houses. Please see learner's supply list for supplies needed. Day 3) Learners will put it all together today! All items should be prepared and ready to use before class. Teacher will give step by step directions to building our fairy gardens as we add soil, plants, and decor to student's chosen container. Lastly, students will share their fairy garden world with the class. Please see learner's supply list for supplies needed.

Parental guidance may be needed while using hot glue gun or specialized glue on projects.
Supply List
A hand out will be provided on the first day of class. Day 1- Drawing paper, pencil with eraser, markers, and crayons Day 2 - Terra cotta pot(s) 1-3, acrylic paint, paint brushes, markers, paper towels, moss or greenery, low temp glue gun and glue sticks, rocks or pebbles (E6000 glue if gluing rocks to terra cotta), anything else learner might want to use on house. Day 3 - Fairy garden container, soil, low growing plants meant for your geographical area, completed fairy garden house(s), rocks , pebbles or any other decorations for your garden .
