In this self-paced class, teens will journey into the world of faerie folklore, creating their own characters, stories, and illustrations. Each week offers a new mythical theme filled with creative freedom and storytelling. 🖋️ What We’ll Do Each Week: 📖 Read a short story excerpt or visual tale inspired by Faeries’ Tales 🎨 Create original artwork (faeries, maps, portals, artifacts) 📝 Respond to a fun writing prompt or myth-building activity 🧚♂️ Sample Activities: Design a member of the Faerie Court Write “The Secret of the Wishing Tree” Draw your faerie’s magical artifact Make a map of your mystical world Write a letter from a changeling child Create a field guide entry for your original faerie This class is perfect for fantasy lovers, daydreamers, young artists, and storytellers who want to explore the faerie realm at their own pace. ✨🦋

This class draws inspiration from Faeries’ Tales by Brian and Wendy Froud, a beautifully illustrated collection of original faerie stories with a whimsical, folkloric, and sometimes mischievous tone. While the content is age-appropriate for teens, parents should be aware that:
The book includes faeries depicted with fantasy-style nudity (similar to classical art or mythology). These are artistic, not graphic, and are handled with maturity and care.
Some stories contain traditional faerie folklore themes, such as changelings, trickster faeries, and magical mischief, which may have eerie or mysterious undertones.
All material is presented in a way that celebrates creativity, wonder, and respect for mythical storytelling.
