Class Experience
Students should have already finished the book before coming to class. This ongoing class allows you to drop in for any week or stay for all of the sessions. Each week will feature new excerpts that we will do close readings with, new strategies and skills that we’ll focus on, and new themes, characters, motifs, and events that we will analyze. Students who stay for one week will walk away with a better understanding of the text and literary analysis, and those who stay for all sessions will...
Students will improve reading comprehension, analysis, and interpretation skills. Students will understand the relevance of Fahrenheit 451 to contemporary issues of technology, human behavior, and society. Students will understand impact of digital technologies on the human brain and behavior. Students will develop questioning, speaking, and active listening skills.
Student should have finished the novel before coming to class. Even better if they come with questions or comments.
