Class Description: Big Cats Unleashed!
In our immersive 4-week class, students will embark on an exciting journey to discover the fascinating world of big cats! Each week focuses on a different feline powerhouse: lions, tigers, cheetahs, and cougars. Through captivating videos, rich visuals, and engaging reading materials, learners will dive deep into the unique characteristics, habitats, and behaviors of these magnificent animals.

What Will Be Taught?
Students will explore a variety of topics, including the differences and similarities between each species, their roles in the ecosystem, and their conservation status. We will also discuss what makes each big cat special, from the lion’s roar to the cheetah's incredible speed. 

Class Structure:
The class is designed to foster an interactive and dynamic learning environment. Each session will begin with an engaging video featuring fun facts and true/false questions that will spark curiosity and discussion. Following the video, students will assess their understanding through multiple-choice questions. 

Teaching Style:
This is an interactive course, emphasizing hands-on activities and student engagement. It utilizes a combination of slides, visuals, and media to cater to different learning styles. Students will have the opportunity to interact through, inference-making activities with images, and vocabulary-building exercises using context clues.

Interaction and Engagement:
Each week, students will read a carefully curated informational text, complete vocabulary exercises, and practice writing by summarizing what they've learned. To assist them, sentence starters will be provided to help guide their writing. 

Overall, this class is designed not just to teach facts but also to inspire a love for wildlife and encourage critical thinking. By the end of the course, students will not only gain knowledge about big cats but also sharpen their reading, writing, and analytical skills in a fun and supportive environment!

1. Identify and Differentiate: Students will learn to identify the key characteristics of lions, tigers, cheetahs, and cougars, including their habitats, behaviors, and ecological roles, and differentiate among the species.
2. Enhance Critical Thinking: Through interactive video quizzes and inference-making activities, students will develop their critical thinking skills as they analyze and discuss various facts and scenarios related to big cats.
