In this one time class, learners will find out what flash fiction is, and how to write it.
Class experience
US Grade 4 - 6
In this one-time flash fiction class, students will learn to write a very short made up story. I will show them fun examples of flash fiction, and we will brainstorm character and plot ideas. They will be taught how to start their story, as well as other details such as how to write dialogue and figure out where to use a new paragraph. The kids should be able to write a flash fiction story in this class, and share it if they want. Flash fiction tends to be a favorite of my students in the past.
Students will learn how to write a flash fiction story. They will learn how long it should be, how to develop a plot and characters. We will discuss dialogue and a good beginning first sentence.
