This class will teach students about the tools and techniques of making fabric bows! Parent warning - this course requires the use of a hot glue gun. This class is very much participatory - I will demonstrate the process of making a bow from start to finish, which students will watch, and then will go through the process step by step for each student to try live from their end! Students will be able to ask questions during the process, comment on each other's work, and share their creations with one another. This class is ongoing; each class will teach the same skills. So if you want to come back again to practice, or bring a friend, please do!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi everyone!
I am an elementary school teacher in my 8th years of teaching. I am certified and licensed for all subjects in grades 1-6, and I have a passion for teaching math. In addition to math, I also enjoy talking about reading and using art to express understanding!
Aside from being a teacher, I have started my own side business, making accessories, gifts, and clothing! My current "passion projects" are making bows, tie-dye, and jewelry! Which leads me to classes...
I have a few offerings up my sleeve... 1) Elementary school math (specifically multiplication/division strategies, solving multi-step word problems, and fractions), 2) Bow-making (both fabric and ribbon!), and 3) Tie-dying for kids! I am really excited about sharing my passions with all of you!
Hmm...what else to share... Oh! I am something called a "Child Wrangler". That means I work with professional child actors in Broadway shows! I currently work for The Lion King and, before it closed, Frozen!
I'm looking forward to working with you!
