Paper Beads? Yes! It's fun, creative and eco-friendly! Turn ordinary paper that would normally go into the recycle bin into something beautiful in this hands-on 'after-school' crafting class. Learn the basics of how to measure, cut, and roll paper to create beads to use in jewelry or other craft projects. This class incorporates fine motor skills including the use of scissors to cut thin strips of paper, twisting glue tops, squeezing, mixing, painting and manipulating paper in a specific manner. Accommodations, tips and tricks will be shown along the way for EZ Beadzy fun! Hear a brief history of beads and their importance to humans. Find out when the unique art of paper beading began and how it has blossomed into a global and fashionable trend. Participants will be invited to discuss and share with the instructor and other participants throughout the class: "What might your beads become?" (jewelry, craft, etc.) Class Policy: 1) Have Fun!! 2) Classes will begin and end at the scheduled times. 3) If there are no learners in the classroom at the start time, the instructor will wait 10 minutes before ending the class. Please see Outschool's policy for late or missed classes. 4) To ensure safety and security, all participants are required to turn on their cameras at the beginning for an identity check. In addition, participants are expected to talk during this class, so a working microphone is required. 5) Please see Outschool's policies for multiple learners from the same household. 6) Parents are welcome to be nearby to assist with IT issues or fine motor skills, however, please remain off-camera and off-mic.
