Preschoolers learn best through play! In this class, we will focus on learning to recognize, read and identify our color words, by having a scavenger hunt and an eye spy game. Learning with games is the BEST!

US Grade Preschool
Recognizing the colors and identifying the color names is an essential part of a child's development. In my years of experience, I have seen how well preschoolers learn through play! In this class, we will focus on learning our colors while also laughing, playing, and having FUN! With the games and book I have planned, the learners will also be practicing essential life skills, such as listening skills, taking turns and learning to speak in front of a small group. We will start each class off with a quick "hello" song to welcome our friends together. I will then introduce and explain the games we will be playing. The goal will be to have a scavenger hunt with some color slides where the children will run and find something in their own home matching the colors I have given them and having a game of eye spy. If there is time left, we will read a book that focuses on learning colors. We will end each class, waving and singing our Good-Bye song. I will send home an OPTIONAL learning sheet that correlates with the colors to further the learning at home if desired. My goal in this class is for the children to learn while they think they are only playing! Through this process, they will correlate learning to fun! The class is set up so the learners can take it as often as they like until they feel they have mastered their colors.
