The Eye-of-Osiris Club will be an ongoing, informal get-together, meeting once a MONTH, for ancient Egyptian enthusiasts to connect with each other and share knowledge on a variety of topics regarding ancient Egyptian society.

NEXT MEETING: May 2, 2024 Topic: To Be Announced Ever want to get together and talk about the magic and mystery of ancient Egypt with a group of people who love it, too? Now you can. The Eye-of-Osiris Club meets once a MONTH throughout the semester. We'll have a suggested topic for each month, which you will know about when you enroll. For about 40 minutes, we'll go over that topic in one or more ways: discussion, video, artwork, photography, storytelling, demonstration, show-and-tell...
Not only will students increase their knowledge about and expertise on ancient Egypt, but they will learn some group dynamics skills, and make friends, as well. As with this type of "club class," students can come and go monthly and don't have to prepare anything except for those students who want to prepare something for the others.
I hold a Certificate of Museum Studies from Harvard University and a Diploma in Egyptology from Oxford College in England. And I’ve been to Egypt three times on personalized, educational tours. As a certified school substitute, I make the day more enjoyable - if it works out - by bringing an ancient Egyptian object into the classroom, whether I'm teaching language arts, social studies, science, consumer economics, art or even Native American studies. I've been captivated by ancient Egypt since I was 10 years old. And I feel it's my destiny to share my enthusiasm for and expertise on this beautiful and brilliant 5000-year-old civilization with all of you. I hope to see you soon for a class. I think you'll agree that The Egyptian Room is an attractive, fun and inspiring place to learn.
2 files available upon enrollmentThere is no need for materials to attend The Eye-of-Osiris Club. But I do encourage anyone joining or dropping in to bring any artifacts or images of ancient Egypt they would like to share with the group.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
** Please Note: I only take students 13 years and older. Thanks for your understanding. Please be aware that many images of ancient Egyptian artwork do show male and female nudity. Parents are always welcome to send me questions about or comments on the club.
Depending on the topic, we'll refer to any number of online Egyptian resources. These will vary according to the subject.
