This will be a one time class jam packed with information and experiences with the whales of the world. The class will cover a description of whale characteristics of both Baleen Whales and Toothed Whales. Dr. J will discuss where these whales live, what they eat, how they hunt, mating season, behaviors during feeding and communicating. We will focus in more detail about their amazing communication ability and their interesting ability to associate within their high level communities. We will make sense of their behaviors of songs, teeth clicking, tail slapping (Tail Lobbing), and bubble blowing. Dr. J will present the material using google slides and use an interactive approach that involves the learners in the process. Learners will be encouraged to dive deeper in their studies of whales and nature/science in general. Dr. J will also use pictures and videos in his presentation. No previous knowledge is needed by learners to participate in this class.
