History is one of my favorite subjects! I have a Bachelor of Arts in history from Miami University where I graduated with honors with distinction. After I graduated from college, I worked for a museum with extensive collections (including a mummy), an archaeology education center, and an archaeological site registered as a National Historic Landmark and with the National Register of Historic Places. I have tutored group, one-on-one, and online classes for three years. I am also a home educator for my own children.
Each week includes four lessons with activities followed by a weekly review. Students need to submit weekly work by Friday evening so that the teacher can review their submissions and post their work to their individual journals. Daily work will range between 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the level of effort put into journal assignments and engagement with extra activities.
No live meetings, and an estimated 4+ hours per week outside of class.
Some artifacts shown may show weapons and warfare. People depicted on artifacts are dressed traditionally in accordance with the customs of the time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the instructor before class.
