Exploring Volcanoes, Swamps and Deserts: Make a Volcano
In this class students will learn about swamps, deserts and volcanoes by viewing slides and exploring their differences, including how the lands look. The students will make their own volcano using play-dough, baking soda and vinegar.

Students will learn about various ecosystems; wetlands (swamps), deserts and volcanoes. The teacher will share slides with the students sharing the similarities and differences of the swamp, desert and volcano. The teacher will also play a game having the students guess what land the animal lives on, where they will have to guess a volcano, swamp or desert. The teacher will also show small pictures of the lands such as sand and they will have to guess if it is on a volcano, swamp or desert....
Play-dough Cookie sheet or plate Baking soda Vinegar Small plastic cup rolling pin or something to roll playdough with spoon Food coloring-optional
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
