Class Experience
Our theater appreciation course is a fun and engaging way for students ages 9-12 to learn about and explore the world of theater. In this multi-week class, we will cover a wide range of topics related to theater, including the history of theater, acting techniques, improvisation, theater design, playwriting, and theater music. We will also discuss theater criticism and give students the opportunity to write their own reviews. Each week, we will start with a brief lecture on the topic of the...
In our theater appreciation course, students will learn about the history of theater, acting techniques, improvisation, theater design, playwriting, and theater music. They will also learn how to analyze a theater production and write a critical review. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to practice and develop their own acting, writing, and design skills through a variety of exercises and projects. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding and appreciation of theater.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
