Teacher expertise and credentials
have extensive experience working with children in both educational and extracurricular settings. I have been teaching 5th grade for the past 4 years where I have developed and delivered engaging lessons in a variety of subjects, including science and social studies, where animal adaptations and ecosystems are frequently explored. In my role, I incorporate interactive activities and discussions to help students better understand complex topics and make learning fun and accessible.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have worked with children in diverse roles over the years, such as serving as an inclusion aide and a reading & math interventionist in elementary school settings. These roles allowed me to build strong relationships with students and support their learning needs in a personalized, hands-on way.
I have also attended educational conferences such as MASSCUE, where I’ve deepened my understanding of how to integrate technology and interactive tools into my lessons to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience for students.
Although I have not taught a dedicated course on the animal kingdom previously, my background in teaching science and my passion for sharing knowledge about the natural world will ensure that students will have an engaging and enriching experience. My approach is always student-centered, focusing on building curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills while fostering a love for learning.
