Embark on an exciting 7-week journey to explore the wonders of our solar system! Designed for 5th graders, this course introduces students to the Sun, planets, moons, and other fascinating celestial objects that make up our cosmic neighborhood. Through hands-on activities, creative projects, videos, and more, students will learn about the unique characteristics of each planet, the mysteries of moons and comets, and the role of space exploration in uncovering the secrets of the universe. Each week features lessons, assignments, and/or projects that spark curiosity and critical thinking. By the end of the course, students will have a deeper understanding of our solar system’s complexity and their place within the vast expanse of space. Let’s blast off into learning!
