Embark on an exciting 7-week journey to explore the wonders of our solar system! Designed for 5th graders, this course introduces students to the Sun, planets, moons, and other fascinating celestial objects that make up our cosmic neighborhood. Through hands-on activities, creative projects, videos, and more, students will learn about the unique characteristics of each planet, the mysteries of moons and comets, and the role of space exploration in uncovering the secrets of the universe. Each week features lessons, assignments, and/or projects that spark curiosity and critical thinking. In this lesson we will explore the sun.

Inner Planets
In this lesson we explore Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.
Lesson 4:
Outer Planets
In this lesson we will explore Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

Hello! My name is Ms. Mari. I am currently attending college to earn a bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Math and Science with TESOL certification. I have one more class until I receive my TESOL certification and about 2 years of college left before I have my teaching license. I have been working with children of all ages for almost 20 years and have 10 years of classroom and tutoring experience. I teach a variety of lessons for elementary and middle school students and offer private or group tutoring sessions in math, science, writing and TESOL/ESL/ELL. My favorite things to teach are geometry, pre-algebra and anything that has to with space and the planets. I can't wait to meet you and your student!
