This 13 week science self paced class student bundles the lessons from my popular Exploring the Solar System, Exploring the Planet and Exploring the Ocean self paced classes. This bundle is discounted and is cheaper than enrolling in those 3 classes seperatly. Students will go through 3 units and go in an epic adventure. Unit 1 is 5 lessons all about the Solar System, unit 2 is 4 lessons about what makes the Earth, and unit 3 is 4 lessons all about the Ocean. ***This is a self paced class with no live meetings. All lessons are prerecorded and posted on the classroom page. This classes has the same lessons videos as my Exploring the Solar System, Exploring the Planet and Exploring the Ocean self paced classes. but bundled together at a discounted price *** Unit 1 (lessons 1-5): The Solar System We will discuss the unique qualities that make up our solar system. We will learn why some space objects are planets and some are not. Students will learn what makes Earth different from other planets and where plants and animals can live. We will take a closer look at the moon we see each night and will talk discover the might of the sun and how all the planets depend on it. Unit 2: (lessons 6-9) The Earth Science: Earth Science is as simple as it sounds of "the study of the earth". However there are so many different ways we can explore the earth. As humans all we see daily is the surface of the earth but the world is so much bigger. In this class we will talk about how the Earth as a whole moves, the layers of the earth, landforms and what wonders can be found hidden within the earth. Unit 3 (lessons 10-13) Oceanography is the study of all aspects of the ocean. Oceanography covers a wide range of topics. In this class students will learn how big the ocean really is and why it is so important to our planet. To make this self paced class more interactive and fun each lessons there will be a Kahoot quiz game with questions about the information taught in that lessons lesson video. I will offer encouragement and praise for a job well down with the quiz games. To partake in each week's quiz game you will need to make a free account on kahoot.com. Making an account will only take a few minutes before you can get started. Lesson 1: The Sun and Mercury Lesson 2: Venus, Earth and Earth's moon Lesson 3: Mars and Jupiter Lesson 4: Saturn and Uranus Lesson 5: Neptune and why is Pluto not a planet Lesson 6: Why the Earth rotates (spins)? What would happen if it stops rotating. Why the Earth revolves around the sun. Lesson 7: What is below the surface of the Earth? What can be found in each layer. Lesson 8: Where did the mountains come from and how many different kinds are there? How do volcanos errup? Lesson 9: What are fossil fuels and how did they get inside the Earth. Lesson 10: We will discuss the depth and length of the ocean and how the 5 zones of the ocean are different. Lesson 11: Students will learn why the ocean is salty. Where the salt comes from and how much salt the ocean contains. Lesson 12: Students will learn about some amazing ocean life. They will learn about animals they probably have never heard of or seen. They will also hear some interesting facts about animals that are commonly know . We will break down myths many believe about sharks. Lesson 13: Students will learn why the ocean is important to all of life and not just ocean animals. We will discuss what would happen if the oceans dried up. Students will learn how all of life is dependent upon the ocean.

I want to start kids off right on this journey. I have a Bachelor‘s degree from Geneva College with over a decade experience teaching children and teens. I have years of experience leading a classroom in both public schools in Ohio as well as online. I previously held credentials through the State of Ohio Department of Education (now expired). I taught in public schools for 2 school years where science lessons was part of my duties as an educator. I have over 7 years of experience teaching children on online platforms and have taught thousands of kids to love science. I pride myself on never letting kids get bored yet always be learning. I have a passion for helping children succeed.
