In this engaging class, students will dive into the history, rules, and techniques of a variety of sports. Each week, we’ll explore a different sport through reading and activities, uncovering its origins, how it’s played, and notable figures associated with it. Log: Alongside the learning packets, students will maintain a P.E. log to track their physical activity. This log encourages daily fitness activities of the student’s choice, which don’t have to align with the sport of the week. __________________________________________________________________ How It Will Be Taught: - Learning materials will include written packets, questions, and puzzles to foster understanding. -Students will engage with weekly content by reading, completing assignments, and reflecting on the material. -The P.E. log encourages practical fitness habits and allows students to explore physical activities that suit their preferences. __________________________________________________________________ Teaching Style and Interaction: -Teaching Style: I aim to make learning about sports interactive and informative by blending history, rules, and personal fitness into a cohesive learning experience. The class is designed to be both educational and fun. -Student Interaction: Students will have opportunities to share their favorite sports during choice weeks and discuss their P.E. activities if they wish. -Support: I am available to answer questions, provide feedback on assignments, and support students as they explore the world of sports.
