This one-time class on the foundations of government is a dynamic, interactive experience designed to engage high school students in a fun and educational way. Students will learn about the key characteristics that make up a government’s foundation. and explore the concepts of power, authority, legitimacy, and sovereignty. They will discuss and analyze different government types and their foundations. To showcase their understanding, students will create and design their own fictional government, deciding on its type, structure, and key laws.

Students will be discussing the key characteristics of a government's foundation. While we will discuss all views, we will always champion the viewpoint of the oppressed and will tell the truth about all sides.
