Beginner Level
This course is designed to guide you through the process of writing an animal research paper from start to finish while learning about an animal of your choice. This self-paced class allows you to learn at your own speed, with the added benefit of teacher support. Whether you need help brainstorming ideas, accessing resources, or feedback on your drafts, Miss Kate is here to assist you every step of the way. This is a self paced course with no live sessions. You will have access to teacher communication for the duration of the course (2 weeks). Teacher will respond within 24 hours. Join us and embark on an educational journey that combines the wonders of wildlife with the art of research writing!

Students will be able to write a research paper using appropriate strategies, credible resources, and show an understanding of the editing process to complete their final draft.

Week 1: Getting Started and Gathering Information
In this lesson, we will work on the following: writing process, narrowing down your topic, gathering information, finding credible sources, organizing research and rough draft.
Lesson 2:
Week 2: Editing, and Finalizing
In this lesson, we will work on the following: strategies for editing and revising your work & completing your final draft.

YouTube - Short videos relevant to the topic
Google Docs- For writing final draft
Pre-Requisites
Students should have foundational reading and writing skills such as reading, sounding out words, forming letters, writing simple sentences.
