THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION & TRADITIONAL FOODS: Students learn Spanish best when they are having fun! This is a dynamic and engaging beginner-intermediate level class, where learners ages 7 to 9 will identify and describe traditional Thanksgiving foods and celebrations in Spanish. The new vocabulary will be introduced through bilingual songs, games, story telling, and with the help of my friend Sr. Ku-kamanga (toy puppet). Each learner will receive an extension resource at the end of class to solidify their learning. Songs and stories will introduce the vocabulary, while interactive games will be used as formative assessments. By the end of this class your child will be able to: Comprehend and answer the question in Spanish: ¿Cómo celebramos acción de gracias?. (How do we celebrate Thanksgiving?) Comprehend and answer the question in Spanish: ¿Por qué estás agradecido? (What are you thankful for?)
Learning Goals
Students will gain new vocabulary centered around Thanksgiving celebrations in Spanish. They will be able to answer the questions: ¿Cómo celebramos acción de gracias?. (How do we celebrate Thanksgiving?)
