In this 5-week course (2, 30-minute sessions per week), students will learn some basic/foundational Spanish conversational words, descriptive words, and numbers. We'll listen to music, read some stories, watch some videos, and do some fun art activities to help us learn! Students will be able to connect their learning to their own lives by describing themselves and objects in their homes, all in Spanish. This is a great course for beginner Spanish learners! This course is geared toward...
This class is taught in English.
In this 5-week course, students will learn: - to describe something as yellow, big, or small, - to ask and answer a question to find out how old someone is. - to say how many items are in a group. (1-10) - to say on what day of the week something happens. - to say what day of the week it is. - to describe themselves using one or two basic describing words.
Students will complete assignments during each class as an interactive way to practice the new skills they learn. There will be optional activities that students can do in-between classes to further their practice.
Students should have paper and pencil to complete activities. I'll provide worksheets if you'd like to print those and have hard copies. Students might like to have colored pencils or crayons to do some coloring activities planned as well. Stories, videos, and music will be provided in the course.
If additional practice sheets are completed, I will review them to ensure they are completed correctly. There won't be letter grades assigned to the course, but feedback and suggestions will be offered as a way to help students pronounce and spell Spanish words correctly.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We will watch a few video clips as we read through some stories, and we'll listen to some music clips as well. These links will be provided to parents and students so they can watch them at any time, and we'll listen to them during the classes.
