In this 4 Lesson Self-Paced class, we'll discover dolphins, whales, several types of sharks, anglerfish, giant squids, and more, and do activities to supplement the Lessons. We'll learn about these overarching topics: 

Lesson 1: What is a marine mammal and how do they differ from fish?

Lesson 2: Conservation and endangered species

Lesson 3: What is the Mariana Trench and how did it form? 

Lesson 4: How do creatures adapt to the extreme conditions of the deep ocean?

This is a Self-Paced class with no live meetings. Each of the 4 Lessons includes a pre-recorded Lesson Video (plus an Optional Worksheet for comprehension) with accompanying Discussion posts, where students will do activities and engage in a back-and-forth with the teacher. For example, students will brainstorm ways to protect endangered species and research a marine animal not discussed in class to share with the other students. 

Students are also welcome to message me or arrange Q&A or live "office hours" for additional support.
