Class experience
This is a movie discussion class focusing on the movie, "Aladdin." Learners will watch the original Aladdin movie from 1992 and answer a set of questions to prepare them for the class discussion on Day 1. Learners will get a chance to share their thoughts and opinions about the movie and explore storytelling elements like characters, plot, setting and theme. Learners will become more comfortable with expressing their thoughts and opinions in a group setting. They will explore why Hollywood remakes or reboots movies. Learners will practice comparison and contrasting skill sets, have a better understanding of storytelling elements and gain practice and confidence with observational, self-expression and communication skills.
I have been a substitute teacher for six years for pre-k to high school students in all subjects. I am an avid movie fan and love all things film related. I have been an actor and filmmaker for the past seven years and enjoy teaching young people about the movie industry.
