Description
Class Experience
I can describe the fact that the moon has different phases and I can name the phases. I can explain that the moon looks different to us on different days throughout the month. I can discuss the different ways the moon looks throughout the month. I can explain the length of the moon cycle and why it occurs.
I have experience teaching primary and elementary school science curriculums.
You will receive extra practice and review of the moon phases, although not mandatory, it is highly recommended. I will be more than happy to mark the completed work and provide feedback to students.
2 files available upon enrollmentMATERIALS - Please come to class prepared with the following items: Attached Worksheet Coloring Pencils / Markers Pencils Oreos Bowl Spoon
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will informally assess student understanding throughout the class, which will be communicated with parents if necessary.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This is an interactive lesson, student participation is highly encouraged! If students do not have Oreos, they can still join our class by drawing the phases of the moon along with us. During the lesson I will use the following external resources: Google Slides Youtube *Your child does not need to have an account for these websites as I will be screen sharing.*
