Class Experience

In this engaging course students will be immersed into the origins, traditions and history of Halloween. Students are encouraged to come to class dressed up ( I will be!). I will use an interactive slide lecture, videos, music and a trivia discussion to help keep learners engaged. I believe that the best way to learn and retain information is to be able to have fun! Learners do not need any prior knowledge but are also welcome to attend if they do have some prior knowledge! Our class will follow the format below :

- Introductions and Icebreakers
- The first Halloween
- How Halloween has evolved over the years
- How Halloween was celebrated in the past
- How Halloween is currently celebrated around the world.
- Questions
-Open Discussion

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
While we will mention witches, wizards, goblins and ghouls we will not mention any violence or describe any dark magic. I have taught classes on this subject for over five years ( in both virtual and non-virtual settings) and have studied this subject for over ten. Halloween was always a holiday that fascinated me so I also completed several electives on it's history in college. I am a teacher and BCBA trained you redirect-sensitive subjects and address them in an age appropriate manner. I am eager to share my knowledge with young learners !
