Class Experience

Come join us in this 3 day camp, where we will build your singing confidence and skills through learning Encanto songs. You will learn breathing strategies to sing out and be heard, fun warm ups and tongue twisters, and how to sing your favorite Encanto songs! There will be chances to sing by yourself and with others.

This course is designed for singers who love Disney and love Encanto - who would also like to gain confidence to sing in front of others while having a blast. It is for the ultimate Disney fans who want to dive deeper into how to express themselves through music. We will be diving deep into skills such as, breathing, dynamics, character expression, harmonies, and more.

Each class will be set up as follows:
⋅Ice Breaker
⋅Warm Ups
⋅Song Practice and Technique to Focus On
⋅Game (Kahoot!, Charades, Guess that Song, Finish the Lyric)

Camp Schedule is as follows:

Day 1: We Don't Talk About Bruno
- Learning to expand your voice range - singing high AND low! We will learn what it takes to sound like different Encanto characters, such as Camilo, Izabella, and Delores. What makes them different in the way they sound and look? We will discover this in class!

Day 2: Surface Pressure
- Introduction to Chest Voice. It is not always easy to sing in our chest voice. But what is the chest voice? It is deep and is like the "double bass" of our voice. Let's strengthen this and sing out strong and proud like Louisa!

Day 3: Family Madrigal
- Rhythm and Diction. An important part of singing is diction, because that is how your audience hears you. We will be warming up with a tongue twister challenge! So much of this song is based on Columbian traditional dances and rhythms. We will sing "with the beat" of this lively song that spotlights Mirabel.
